Covid-19 Guidelines
During this uncertain time, I am exercising great caution and following recommendations made by the state of Missouri for health clinics.
If you or anyone you have been in contact with exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 or tested positive in the last 7 days, please reschedule your appointment. I will do the same.
If someone is dropping you off/picking you up, they must wait in the car to minimize the amount of people in the waiting area.
A medical grade air purifier will be running in the treatment room during your session.
Patient checkout and scheduling will be done in the treatment room. I will use contactless payment methods.
I have booked extra time between patient sessions to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of all contact surfaces as per Covid-19 guidelines. I am committed to providing you with a safe and comforting clinic environment.
Scheduling Made Easy
After we have confirmed your appointment, you will receive an email from me that will ask you to set up an online account through a digitally secure software system called Jane. In your account you can fill out and submit your intake and consent forms, make and keep track of your payments, see and make changes to upcoming appointments. I can also send resources to you as part of your healthcare plan.
Getting to know you, inside and out
During your initial 1.5 hour visit, we will spend 30 minutes going over your health history in depth. This will be followed shortly after by a 45 minutes acupuncture treatment. I encourage you to share copies of any labs or blood work that may be relevant. All appointments booked after your initial visit are 1 hour. Cost effective packages of treatments are available for purchase.
Good to Know
The Treatment
We will work together to create a customized treatment for you, using a range of Chinese medicinal therapies. Acupuncture and other modalities including moxa, guasha, cupping, electrical stimulation, and massage may be used.
The Plan
We will create your treatment plan to maximize both effectiveness and time. After your first treatment, you will have a clear idea of how many sessions you will have, nutritional and lifestyle advice, and a realistic assessment of how I can assist you in your health plan.
I am not registered as an in-network health insurance provider at this time. However, I am happy to provide you with a receipt that has the necessary coding for you to submit to your provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance company to see if you are covered for acupuncture and, if so, what specific conditions your insurance company will cover.
Some acupuncture services are covered by Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA). Please let me know if you have any questions or need a receipt.
